Oufy is a wardrobe styling app. You photograph the clothes you own, and Oufy suggests outfits and shows you how they might look on you using AI-generated imagery. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you delete it.
Oufy is operated by Muhammad Shafain Kazi, an individual developer based in Hyderabad, Pakistan, trading as "Oufy" ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
For any privacy question, request or complaint, and for general support, contact support@oufy.site.
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Account details — name and email address | To create and secure your account. Oufy has no password of its own: you sign in with Apple or with Google, and we receive your name and email address from whichever provider you choose. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever receive the relay address, never your real one. |
| Profile details — display name and profile photo | Optional. Shown only to you, inside your own account. |
| Style profile — the answers you give during onboarding, including gender, your styling goal, the wardrobe problems you want solved, and the styles you prefer | To build your personalised style profile, choose the starter wardrobe you receive, and tailor outfit recommendations to your taste. |
| Garment photos | Each item you add to your wardrobe. These are processed into transparent cutouts, and descriptive attributes are derived from them — category, colours, season, style tags and occasion suitability — so the app can assemble outfits from your own clothes. |
| A photo of yourself | Optional, and only if you use virtual try-on. It is the photo that AI dresses in your own garments. See section 4. |
| Activity in the app — saved outfits, saved try-on results, and how often you wear an item | To show you what you have saved and to improve future suggestions. |
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Purchase history — which membership you hold and whether it is active | To unlock the features you have paid for. Payments are handled by Apple; we never receive or store your card details. |
| Usage and product interaction | Analytics events such as screens viewed, onboarding progress and features used, so we can find where the app is confusing or broken. |
| Crash diagnostics | Stack traces and device model and operating-system version when the app crashes, so we can fix it. |
| Technical data — IP address, device model, operating system version | Collected by our infrastructure and analytics providers as part of serving requests, keeping the service reliable and preventing abuse. |
| Device identifiers | An app-instance identifier used for analytics, and a device attestation token used to verify that requests come from a genuine copy of the app rather than an automated abuser of our servers. |
Analytics and crash reporting are enabled by default and there is currently no in-app switch to turn them off. If you would rather we did not process this data about you, you can stop using the app and delete your account as described in section 8.
This version of Oufy sends no notifications. The app does not ask for notification permission, does not register a push token, and has no marketing or reminder messages to send you. If we introduce notifications in a later version we will ask your permission first, give you a way to turn them off inside the app, and update this policy before doing so.
We do not use your photos to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Photos are the most sensitive thing this app handles, so we want to be specific about them.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. It reaches only the categories of recipient below.
We use the following categories of processor. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound to process the data on our instructions.
| Category | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Cloud platform and app infrastructure | Authentication, database, image storage, server functions, analytics, crash reporting and abuse prevention |
| Our own backend service, hosted on that cloud platform | Processing garment photos and generating outfit recommendations |
| Third-party AI processing providers | Background removal, garment analysis, and generating AI-powered virtual try-on images |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, and App Store purchases and subscription management |
| Sign-in, where you choose Google as your sign-in method |
If you would like to know which specific companies act as our processors, write to support@oufy.site and we will tell you.
Oufy is currently operated by an individual. We intend to move it to a company formed for that purpose, and we may also merge with, be acquired by, or sell assets to another business. In any of those cases your information may be transferred to the new entity as part of the app.
If that happens, the receiving entity will be bound by this policy — or by a policy at least as protective — for information collected before the transfer. We will update the operator named in section 1 and, where the change is material or the law requires it, notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you would rather not continue under a new operator, you can delete your account at any time as described in section 8.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to — for example in response to a valid court order or lawful request — or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect someone's safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our Terms. Where we are permitted to tell you about such a request, we will.
We operate from Pakistan, and our infrastructure and processing providers operate in the United States and other countries. Using Oufy therefore means your information is transferred to and processed outside your own country, including in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards for that transfer, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable), or another lawful transfer mechanism.
You can delete your account from inside the app: Profile → Delete account — tap your avatar on the Home screen to open Profile. If your membership has ended, or you never started one, the same Delete account action sits on the membership screen, so you never need an active subscription to delete your account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — there is no recovery period, and signing in again afterwards creates a new, empty account. It permanently removes:
We keep no copy from which the account can be brought back, so neither you nor we can undo this — if you sign in again afterwards you start over with a new, empty account. Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling your subscription — an active subscription belongs to your Apple ID, not to your Oufy account, and must be cancelled separately through Apple or it will continue to bill you after your account is gone. You can also email support@oufy.site to request deletion.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, email support@oufy.site. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Our legal bases for processing are:
In the twelve months before the date of this policy, we collect the categories of personal information described in section 2: identifiers, customer records, commercial information (purchase history), internet and app activity, visual information (your photos), and inferences drawn to personalise your recommendations. We collect these for the business purposes described in section 3 and disclose them to the service providers described in section 5.1.
We do not sell or share your personal information as the CCPA and CPRA define those terms, and we do not do so for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, so we do not sell or share the personal information of minors.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our cloud provider. Access to stored files is restricted to your authenticated account by server-side security rules, and our backend accepts only attested requests from genuine copies of the app. Access to live user data is restricted to the people who build and operate Oufy, protected by individually credentialed accounts with multi-factor authentication, and used only for support, debugging and investigating abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously — particularly for photos of you.
Oufy is intended for people aged 18 or over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact support@oufy.site and we will delete it.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Oufy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
